my bunch of origami flowers, look on the petals for the paper cranes
I first learnt to make origami when I was in primary school. We heard about the story of the Hiroshima bomb and and also learnt how to make paper cranes. For years I always made little paper cranes even so small you needed tweezers to make the folds! It was just to challenge myself as that was the only thing i knew how to make.
For xmas last year my sister gave me a origami book and i absolutely love it i now can make more than just paper cranes: I now know how to make another paper crane style called senbazuru. Its making 4 cranes out of 1 piece of paper. This was difficult to do but looks great!
I have had so much fun doing origami my daughter has also joined in learning how to make beautiful flowers and boxes. We love it :) In the picture I have made a bunch of origami flowers with tiny cranes on some of the petals for my dads grave - as they will last longer than the real flowers and look just as beautiful and more personal.
